Inhabiting the passage
Islands of seating and planting make room for rest while keeping the route legible.

Interior design
A courtyard to inhabit, between greenery and geometry.

Design rendering · Avah Studio
A design study for the courtyards of the Academy of Fine Arts in Tournai, centred on rest and encounter. Planted islands, seating and suspended frames turn a passage into a place to spend time.
The length of the courtyards guides the design. Furniture punctuates the route without obscuring its perspective; trees create landmarks and places to gather, alone or together.
Lines at ground level echo the overhead framework. Solid volumes and open frames play with light, while daytime and evening views reveal two moods of the same space.

The geometry of the furniture extends above visitors through suspended frames and volumes.
Mineral tones, wood-effect surfaces and greenery create a restrained, warm palette.
